Networking Apps
Facebook – I use this a fair bit – it is a great way of keeping in touch with my friends and business contacts, and is very easy to use from updating your status through to uploading a mobile picture. Also like the update which integrated your Facebook contacts with the contacts in your phone – this means that all the contacts in my phone which have a Facebook account now have their Facebook profile picture show up when they call me as well as their birthdays integrate into the iPhone calendar. A word of warning though - if you have more than 250 friends on Facebook, you may not get all their feeds! Linked In – I use linked in a little bit (not as much as Facebook). This app wasn’t very good until their latest update which is obviously based on the above Facebook app. Works much better and the most recent update also stops a lot of the crashes. If you have a Linked In account, this is a must. Tweetdeck – I dabble with Twitter – I will be the first to admit that I probably don’t use it enough for it to be useful. Tweetdeck gets rave reviews from a lot of people and it will integrate with a lot of social media as well as running several Twitter accounts for you. I have it on my iPhone and will get round to using it more effectively! |
